10mm pistol into rifle?
So, title explains it pretty well. How do I (if I can) change a 10mm pistol into a rifle?
I turned my pipe rifle into a snipr since I had less ammo for it than I did for the 10mm. My plan was to have a pipe sniper (Which I now have) and a 10mm rifle. However, there's only pistol handles for the pistol?.. Is there any way to make it into a rifle - or find a 10mm rifle anywhere?
Also, I know that the handle / grip doesn't make a very big difference. Was just wondering :)

There is a mod for that, but all us console users don't have mods yet, so I can't give you the quality.

I don't think you can turn it into a rifle. I have something that resembles a submachine gun or SMP. Think Uzi.

Something tells me the classic 10mm sub machine gun kit will come out with Far Harbour. I don't know about rifles, OP will most likely need to look through mods for that and see if there is on that turns it into a rifle grip weapon.

Seeing as how there is a sub machine gun in the game, yeah I don't think they will bother making the 10mm moddable into it. But to answer OPs question it is not possible to turn it into a rifle without mods.

if keli posted the right link, that would be the any mod any weapon esp or something very similar.
it will let you add rifle stocks and longer barrels and other stuff but the way he holds the gun is still just like a pistol.
brilliant esp but it dosent swap the hold animations for a rifle animation.
no big deal. any mod any weapon coupled with 1 or 2 other esp's make the whole weapon inventory more or less pretty modular.
youl get some ugly brutes out of it but hey,, the steaming pile of mess on the floor isnt complaining.. lol.

A 10mm rifle would be awkward and not very lore-friendly in my opinion.
Being able to turn the 10mm pistol into a sub-machine gun on the other hand would be a good idea.

theres also mods for caliber conversion, so if youre interested in turning any of the other weapons into a 10mm or any other caliber then thats also possible.

Just get a combat rifle or a hunting rifle and upgrade them to better ammo.
You can get .308 or 50 caliber. They do more damage and have a greater range than the 10mm would.
That or get a gauss rifle from the Railroad.

many things are posssible. for example -
grab a pistol type gun and click on it in console.
type -

amod 19ecc3
amod 93e2e
amod 1c50a2
amod 1f31b9

(smg conversion with 2mm mag conversion)

Fallout 2 offered a 10mm pipe rifle in the early game.

The other side of the coin was: it sucked. I think it was unrifled, cause you could only hit stuff like 4 feet in front of you, and you had to reload after every shot... I think. It's been a while. You scored it out of vic's shack in klamath.

Frankly, I'm wondering why they didn't make all the weapons ammo variable. You're already changing the receivers and barrels, couldn't possible be that hard to change ammo size while you're at it.

I'm not talking about changing the caliber of other rifles, I'm talking about turning a 10mm Pistol into a rifle directly. But yeah, I understand where you are coming from.

The SMGs we can build ingame (not including the one actually named submachine gun) function as either rifles or automatics, the game doesn't distinguish between them at all.
I see no reason for the 10mm not to have access to a short stock mod t build an SMG, would be nice to see in fact.

yeah pipe weapons arent great. find a hunting rifle(.308) or combat riffle(.45)

collect all ammo an every chance you get to buy ammo you need from traders an sell the .38 ammo, to get your caps back. fusion cells are ok to sell too.

you really think the OP dosent know that pipes and 10mill's are a lot weaker than 45's, 308's and 50's?
he wants a 10mm tdr pistol rifle to go with his roleplay. not so difficult to comprehend.
if he'd asked for a non lethal flashbang, what would you suggest? a nuke mine instead? a fatman?

Where the heck did he ever mention it was for roleplay? Only thing I saw mention of was ammo restrictions. Do you make a habit of coming into a thread and railing into people simply for offering an answer to the OPs question? Dude, get a life.
