NvBackend.exe is a resource HOG! Disable for whole system improvment.
I don't know why it's there, I don't know what it does but it KILLS my CPU and Memory after a bit and has been a problem for the past year or so (both win 10 and win 7), GeForce Experience related. I looked for a fix and could not find support from NVidia. A lot of other people recomend renaming the NvBackend.exe so I doesnt run. This works for me. You can always check for yourself ctrl-alt-del into task manager.

C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\Update Core\NvBackend.exe

Now keep in mind, if you use this fix you will have to reapply whenever you update your drivers.

MSI Z710A Gaming M7

GTX 970
Windows 10 Pro

Good Luck and happy gaming!

Just deinstalling Gforce Experience works as well. It's not required for the drivers to work at all and mostly bloatware with constant cloud access.
