How do you activate generator windmill?
There is a button under it to turn it on but nothing happens when pressed. What am I missing?

make a generator and then wired it up.

you need to put it out in the open so wind can hit it then you need to wire it to something.

I have the same issue. Obviously I'm placing it out in the open, but it won't "activate" and doesn't supply power. Everything is wired up and good to go. If I substitute the windmills with regular generators it works just fine.

Odd, I put one on the Abernathy Farm to power the Radio transmitter to attact more settlers and it worked fine.

That is odd. I did the same thing with the transmitter at "The Castle" and it isn't working. Apparently I am missing something crucial. I'll reply once I've figured it out!

i installed it on sanctuary, it gives 3 power but, doesnt seem to move. I just assumed different places gives different power bonuses. Therefore windy places more power

Thats just it, different places dont give more power. The wind generator ONLY gives 3 power, sooo, if you are connecting things to it that take up more that 3 power altogether, then nothing will work from the wind generator.
If the other person above is trying to run the beacon towers at the castle by using the wind generator or just 1 of them, then you wont power up anything to complete that quest, as the whole thing (for the quest) takes a fair bit of power. Just cant remember now as its been some time since I did it lol.
Hope I made sence :)

PS: To be able to see how much power a generator will output, just go into workshop mode and select a generator. Where it tells you what items are needed to make the thing, theres an icon that looks like a lightning strike or something, indicating electricity. There is a number associated with that....this is how much power that generator outputs :)

My problem is that I cant connect wires to my windmill, know anything on this?

I havn't bothered with the wind one, too little power for the size of it.

Nexus does however have mods that changes the power level of it.
