- Dropping weapons, and storing them whilst In your settlement Interface, then taking them back out again and repeating the process; works better with a lot of weapons.
Get a lot of weaopns.
Store in red workbench
take them back into your inventory
Drop all weapons on the ground
turn on settlement build mode
store items back in workshop
watch capacity bar decrease
But the castle DOES run out of build space really fast. Only settlement I hit the ceiling in.
- Drop weapons on settlement grounds
- Activate "Build" mode
- Store or Scrap dropped weapons (meter will drop with each action)
Some areas have small budgets (Jamaica Plain comes to mind), some areas have larger (e.g. Spectacle Island lets you build up the most).
See http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_console_commands for commands you can use to see/get limits on triangle calls and draw calls.
And note:
I have some settlements where I more then tripled the vanilla building budget and have not run into problems.
