HOW TO quick switch weapons?

Go to your pipboy press Q on the item or weapon you want to add to a quickslot and then press the keys shown ( 1-0 etc ). Ingame press the keys you used and that's it.

At the bottom of the screen you can read, what button does what.

So when you are in your weapon inventory and look at the bottom you can read that "Q" is for favoriting your weapons. The term itself is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, yes, but then you can choose if you want to favorite your weapons on 1-9, wich should be a dead giveaway, on what that button does.

I hope we dont need to explain to you how to switch weapons, once favorized.

OK, so I've been using "cycle weapon" button for more than 10 years and trying to adapt to some new way of switching weapons besides having a "cycle weapons" key or using the mouse wheel will seriously detract from the playability/fun. I'll have to look for a mod then if I want that in my interface???

If you're using mouse and keyboard... its seriously easy to just press the number keys. Like 1 all the way across to = can be assigned to a favorite weapon / aid / apparel. all you have to do after you've assigned them to a favorite slot, you just hit that button in game and it'd swap / equip / use the item in that favorite slot.

As for a controller setup... sorry, not sure. I just got used to playing PC games with the keyboard and mouse.

For gamepads, it's just the direction keys. more then on for each direction of course.

I've used either the mousewheel to change weapons or a "Next Weapon" key for so many years, it's hard to adjust - if I could at least have a keypress to toggle between two different "favorites" that would probably be enough.
