Tab key stops working
I played for a couple of hours without any serious problems (other then one of my settlers stealing and then losing my power armor) but now every time I talk to someone my tab key gets disabled and doesn't come back again when the conversation finishes. So if I speak to someone I then can't access my Pip Boy, can't exit any trade or crafting popups, can't toggle my light on or off. Only way to fix it quit and restart the game but then the same thing happens.

You guys use shift+tab to open ingame steam? Might be the problem there as i have figured that out. If it happens try pressing your left shift and see if the tab button works again.

This. Once you close the overlay, open and close it again quickly and tab should work again.

The Steam overlay seems to be an issue for a lot of people. It's not a fix, per se, but I recommend rebinding the PipBoy to the "i" key rather than "Tab." Tab will still work if you do this, but in the event it fails, you will still be able to close the PipBoy (everything else that requires Tab to back out of can also be clicked out of).

Um ... This particular problem appears to have more to do with the Steam overlay than with the game - which, incidentally, works quite well for me. If you actually want help, try making a topic and explaining the technical issues you are having. But don't hijack somebody's help thread to rant.

In my experience you dont have to re open the overlay. Just press left shift and my tab works again.

Or use Alt and Shift out the game, go back in and it works again.

I press ESC twice (go into the ESC menu and back out) and it resets it. Very annoying, though.
Toggling the steam overlay, or alt-tabbing (less than recommended) or pressing esc twice to toggle menu might work. Try saving or reloading. Also, i think, if they still kept the commands the same in the game between this and the last Fallout, one can pull down the console with ~ and type save stuckincraftingstation, or whatever you want to call it. Then goto menu and load your game.
