How do you get the ceiling lights to light up?

I have a generator near by but it will not allow me to connect the ceiling light, to the power generator. Any idea what I am suppose to do?

All you need is one of those dealies under power (I forget the name, you connect cables to them). Connect the generator to one of those with wires and put it somewhere near the light, it'll automatically gain power, doesn't need to be directly connected via wire like some other items.

Power then Switches and there should be a power post (or something like that) as the first option, place that near some lights then run some wire to it and it should power the lights in the general area. Cannot run wire to lights tho.

mine seems to work if i just wire up a power conduit that attaches to the building nearby.

Just confirmed this works Generator - Pylon - switch(attached to house) and it is floor specific if you used a two story prefab like me
