do that having graphic option on raining with zero problem but several frame loss due to SSAO
In the advance section at the start up menu. Select "options" when you first launch it and before you go any further. Then select advance settings.
I play with wetness turned off. I got tried of seeing wet items and settlers, my own char, looking wet when inside a covered building. :P
Now, the rain drops still appear on the PA's visor and on the ground, in the air and puddles. But no wetness or drops of rain show within the covered buildings. Much more realistic.
Thankfully it's a literal setting in the actual game's options, that can be turned off at will or at the start of playing. Options which, apparently, 8 years later, people still willingly ignore, in favor of turning everything on ultra because the rig's new / expensive...
The options aren't right for every install.
Hence.
The word "option".
