how do i give daisy the cure?

For me I had to get McGready to start the conversation. Try getting him to move close to Daisy or even outright commanding him to go to her. Once they start talking you should get pulled into it.

thing is on that save i cannot require him he just goes "hello" or other generic NPC greetings (and his gunner friends are still sat in the room looking gormless)

yeh wut? i came across the mission after i went near the building where you get the cure thingy while finding the BoS patrol i did that went back to him and something durin the "cut scene" where he talks to the gunners broke

Pretty much everyone i checked on that had this problem unlocked stuff with console commands or just flew through the hospital using noclip, not a single report of the bug when starting and completing the quest the normal way. Pretty much what you're describing there Shas'O Vior'la Suam Eldi.

i was given the mission when i got near the hospital (it automatically started) i had never talked to the guy in the third rail (cannot remember his name) at all before being told to talk to him after i got the cure

when i got there he was talking to the gunners i got into a conversation with him and then he told me to talk to whassername i ran out and over to her and i got the introduction dialogue with her and nothing else

i tried going back to him and all he does is generic hellos and the gunners are sat there doing nothing (also doing generic hellos or in this case piss offs when i try to talk to them)

I had misunderstood back when I first read this thread. I thought the issue was that you had McGready with you and did the quest but were now unable to get the cure turned into Daisy.

If that was the case the most likely solution would be to command McGready to move beside Daisy since it only triggers the ability to turn in the cure, due to the four choice limited dialogue system, by having McGready and Daisy engage in a conversation about it. I ran into this issue myself and had to order him to move beside her.


I see that the actual problem going on is that McGready was never actually recruited in the first place. This is actually known bug and has already been reported.

Sadly, I don't think there is currently a solution to this issue. Since you already have the cure it sends him into "quest mode" and he is no longer able to recruited as a companion. Since you can't get him as a companion you have no way to get him near Daisy to strike up the conversation which will trigger you being able to turn in the cure to her.

The only suggestion I could give would be to try going to another location and resting for 24 hours and returning to see if maybe it will break him out of his current "stuck" status and allow you to recruit him as a companion.

I doubt that will work though and its likely going to be something where your options are only to restart, load back to before you got that quest started incorrectly, or wait for a patch in hopes it gets fixed.

The mission doesn't start when you just go near the hospital and McGready isn't in the third rail, he's in goodneighboor.

The Third Rail is the name of the bar in Goodneighbor which he is in.
