Stuck? Quartermastery Quest - Not sure if bugged *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Hi all, just been trying to complete the Quartermastery quest for the Brotherhood recon team, I've been sent by the scribe to get the Haptic Drive from the Corvega plant. However it seems to be impossible to get to where the marker is sending me! Looked all through the plant and found nothing too.

Very confused too as a quick google only came up with this Polygon guide:

but their quest location and detail seems totally different to mine!! Anyone had similiar to me/has the guide and can help me out with where to go in the plant/look? Its actually given me a headache so I'm having to stop playing now to rest!

Hey, sharing because I found this pretty difficult too, and came across the same article you did which makes it misleading. I guess the haptic drive can appear in different places.

Anyways, inside Corvega assembly, after you clear the entrance and come to where the elevator is, take the elevator up or the stairs. It will lead to a room that has large assembly lines, a shut off protectron, and some raiders and turrets. Deal with the raiders and turrets, and you will see they are shooting at you from an elevated platform.

The dumb part, you will notice there is only one set of stairs leading along the left wall that would connect to the platform (where the haptic drive is) but the walkway is broken and its impossible to leap across. I had to do some very awkward jumping on the yellow machine that is between the broken walkways and after a few tries I was able to jump to the other side. The haptic drive is in a crate at the back.

Such is life in the wasteland.

Edit : noticed a grognak comic on the table as I was about to leave

Figured it out. Go to the same platform that BeerBeer talks about. Right before the end of the platform, look to your right, there's a button there that will extend a bridge for you to get across

Hi.
I'm playing on PS4, but I have same problem. BeerBeer wrote something about chest in some room, but on map I have to go to the computer terminal in tunnels under factory. So I went there, but I cannot do anything with it. I can read some Lonnie's messages and nothing more, but marker is still over the terminal.
I have spend about one hour on this side quest and still I don't know what to do. :/

I just have to go outside and come back, my problem is solved.

Her quests are pretty much randomized in map location and quest item, so guides for it are worthless.

I know, but somebody may have same problem with this location, and he or she completed it succesfuly.

Hey, just found out there is a button literally right at the end of the "broken walkway" that extends a bridge for you to walk to the area where this item is

To anyone reading this 8 years after the OP...you don't have to use the yellow machine, the red machine that is right in front of the office deck can be climbed more easily and you can easily jump from it to the room of the office deck.
