Probally. Assuming you know nothign else other than what is in this quest, you are under the assumption that Stockton, (regardless of if she is or isn;t synth) believes it his daughter, but if you know more then you know Stockton moves syths for the Railroad. It is quite probable that he knows she is a synth, and is his daughter as well. It could be her safe identity after escaping. In this case, there would still be negative impact with him, even if you proved she was synth.

That being said, is it a bug to have Dan be agressive as soon as you enter the Compound? (Ive had it with both options (stay away from the compound & "ill let the compound know youre coming) from the old bearded guy (forget his name).

If you joined the railroad, you would eventually do a quest with Stockton. Completing this particular quest would have Stockton divulge more details at the end of the topic's quest. (assuming you saved her)

I managed to make this work by taking Dan with me, it then reads "Talk to Honest Dan" instead of "Talk to Old Man Stockton"

Getting Stockton's password from the locked house was easy, but I couldnt find a way to hack the terminal without everyone in town attacking me immediately, even in sneak mode. So... I just reloaded my last save and placed 4 frag mines leading up to the house while I hacked it, Most of them blew themselves to bits rushing the house and I only had to deal with a couple of wounded villagers after that.

As for Amelia, I rejected the doc's offer and stuck with Dan, then exploited the reward glitch for 50k caps.

You have to get into the main office of Covenant, hack the computer and all the evidence is their. A new quest to speak to Dan then appears.

this is what i did talk to the old man he tells you he as a bad memory and writes things down to remind him you need high sneak look in the house with beds and you well find the password on a corner table now go to the house with the computer use the password to find out ware you need to go

My problem is that whenever I get into the house, even when someone opens it, the residents say that I'm not allowed in there, and if I stay in there for too long, everyone turns hostile.

I ended up killing everyone in Covenant. They have keys to all the houses. In the house at the front left of Covenant is the password for the computer, which you can steal because everyone is dead. You should have a key for the far back house, which you can open, then use the password to access the terminal. If you look through everything on the terminal, it should direct you to the honest guy. Go with him to the location on the map. If you complete the yellow persuasion check and end up with the doctor, it's better to tell her that you won't let her kill the daughter, then kill her and her bodyguard. After releasing her and getting the reward money, I found it pretty easy to fight my way out, although I am fairly high leveled with good equipment. There is also a ton of loot to be gotten from all the guards who try to stop you, and from various containers along the way. I found this path to be the least buggy option with the most reward involved.
