After unlocking FPS, the game will speed up, as the FPS increases over 60 [FIXED]
The game is nearly unplayable, once I reach 200 FPS, and the menu screen sometimes crashes, because the animations are at a 900-1000 FPS, which speeds it up insanely!

How can I lock it to exactly 60 (or 61 would be preffered) FPS, to stop the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ acceleration in this game?

*EDIT*
Got a lot of quick responses (thanks for that guys <3), and I've decided to try some of them out. Might be a while before I can respond to some of you.

*EDIT2*
First of all, I tried udpating my driver. What a genius I was, found out there was a new driver for Fallout 4. Now I'm magically running the game at a locked 70 fps. That'll do, I guess. The most promising answer furthermore, was probably the RivaTuner. Seen that one discussed on the Reddit forum too.

70 fov is more cinematic though.

I'm not talking about FOV, I'm talking about the FPS of the game. I don't really care about the FOV, as far as I'm concerned, the FOV will make your screen wider-ish, right? Or am I totally wrong?

Lol, what.

Also @OP, if you're using NVIDIA gpu then just open the control panel and change the maximum fps to 60. Oh, and the Fallout setting file. Sorry I can't walk you through these; at work. :(

autism: the post

to the OP: I don't think there's a way to limit fps just yet, will have to wait for a mod, or use some kind third party software.

there is a guide that fix both problems, go to "fallout 4" community hub > guides>Top Rated All Time>then a guide called "Unlock Frame Rate, Change FOV, Skip Intro Video, Unlock Console, 21:9 Support and Remove Mouse Acceleration + Other Fixes".

Game is great, hope you fix everything and enjoy it!, peace o7

Thanks for the quick answer, will try that out. Just found an alternative on Reddit too. Got lots of stuff to try out, hopefully one will work :)

Riva tuner works perfect for this.

not sure if trolling or just retarded. Your Frames Per Second has nothing to do with the speed at which things move, just how frequently your GPU generates frames..

FPS is in fact linked to gamespeed:

Nah, happened to me in another Bethesda game, same issue - Skyrim. Funny enough my thief character was called Speedy Gomez, hahaha.

You don't have to scream at him. I'd probably have given the same response, if somebody threw what I just told him in my head. It sounds weird, as no other game as done this before.. Yet Fallout 4 is the new ground-breaking release, so I suppose it comes with its own charms? ;)
