Its like asking for a game like this that has a minimum requirement of an i5 CPU to work on a pentium 4 or original dual core since that is the time period when 4:3 was still thr norm.
I am the person who has written the guide. The only thing more asked about then fov info, is 4:3 support. It has been asked about far more then 21:9 support or even issues relating to mouse acceleration. It seems there are more 4:3 users still out there then many of us thought/think.
Currently the fix I came up with will distort the hud, I have started trying to fix it but I do not know if I will be able to.
I have a 120hz 3d 24"ish monitor and if I find a good working 4:3 crt I would buying it for myself. They are beautifull things.
There are many great movies not yet availablke on dvd and blu-ray. I still rock vhs with my vt60 panny plasma. The black levels combined with input latency of the better crt's have yet to be matched.
This thread has nothing to do with antiquated CRT screens.
It has to do with 4:3 screens and I want a 4:3 CRT.
I've a full HD LCD from samsung which is already a few years old.
However, I can easily switch to a 4:3 aspect in the config of the monitor.
So actually I can downgrade it any time for any input signal.
I do that for AV if I plug in my PS2, since PS2 games are actually NOT made for any other aspect ratio than 4:3.
If I want I also can downgrade my HDMI signal of my PC, but I prefer to find a widescreen fix instead.
After all it means, that it might not be that bad to buy a widescreen monitor especially if he supports also other aspect ratios.
No, the OP asked why 4.3 wasn't supported. They said nothing about a CRT. Older LCD computer monitors also had 4.3 ratios. Many people are still using those ( I even have one on a second PC.
Yes they do. This is a discussion board though, not everything is going to remain 100% exactly as per the topic. Just added my plans to hopefuly fix 4:3 and then added I want a 4:3 crt. We can move on though, this isn't going anywhere. :)
4:3 isn't supported for the same reason numerous other things aren't as they should be. AS Bethesda is out of touch, don't care (doubt this) or are incompetent.
