Anyone getting this same problem? This is the most major I've seen it but there are areas where it shows up sometimes in small amounts.

Specs, Windows version, video card driver version and graphics settings, please. Are you sure you're not running out of VRAM because of your texture settings?

gtx 970, 8gb RAM, i5 4690k, and I might have to check my settings and change them until Bethesda decides to optimize the game a bit

I have this problem. I tried different combinations of settings. All combinations of such problem
Same deal but also if you walk towards the broken motorway there is texture glitches there too.

And im on Titan X 12GB 16GB Rram, with a 1TB SSD so memory isnt a problem in any form for me tbf

to fix this change this in the falloutprefs.ini file;

fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=999999
fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=999999

I changed it into;
fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=40000
fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=80000

Now the basegame loads the meshes fine, just textures will stay lod at some times. You might want to change these values in the Ultra.ini too in the games installdir. Otherwise when you install a new vidcard the launcher reverts back to the settings in the Ultra.ini file, that is if you have a powerful enough PC for it to detect as Ultra.

This fixed it for me, thank Marcurios

EDIT: Hmm, maybe not, it seems the issue has come back and just disappears on a game reload.

i am sure its not related to vram (or ram) issues. I have dual 980 ti's with 32 gigs of ram (12 gigs on the cards) and I CONSTANTLY get this damn issue (basically its the 'long distance' textures you see, and they don't' go away when up close, its NOT the game thinking your out of ram so rendering only low-res, its doing both. To see, find a quarry(most often happens there) and u will notice u can go 'under' the low-res textures and all the high res 4k textures are rendered under. Only issue is the game refuses to remove the low-res far ranged textures.

You described exactly what I have. This ONLY became apparently since the new survival was patched in. |: I really hope there's a fix.

I have exactly the same problem but only in Survival mode.The quarry looks like the low res far away model and some objects won't load correctly so you can't interact with it and just walk throught it.Has anyone found a fix for it cuz it's unplayable that way.

I fixed mine :) I had recently uninstalled a bunch of mods and had my .ini files still edited. I just deleted them and relaunched the game. Had to fix my settings again, but all the problems stopped :D

In your Fallout4.ini under the [General] section:

bForceUpdateDiffuseOnly=0
iTextureUpgradeDistance1=7500
iTextureUpgradeDistance0=5000
iTextureDegradeDistance1=7500
iTextureDegradeDistance0=5000
