Just what the heck were the testers doing?
As above, there is a solution which doesn't require console commands.
Gabi thanks for the guide but
1) I can't find these lines you talk about in Fallout4.ini
2) How do i fix my broken TAB key?
It should work, I shouldn't have to file delve.
Also, the tab key horse crap is another issue with the game, your default for pipboy key will just magically stop working in game,,,, I have a light up keyboard that reacts to strikes so the key is working, nobody is home on the games side.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ release.
Sorry, it should read Fallout4Prefs.ini. You will have to change it in two locations (as there are two of these files). Update guide so it should be clear.
What is wrong with your TAB key?
This is the solution which I have added too from the gal/guy way above who mentioned something but she/he never put a link as she/he chats so much in steam you can't find it. anyway lol
Change your .ini preferences in both these folders
1st..
c:/users/yourcomputerame/documents/mygames/fallout4
open with notepad file
Fallout4Prefs.ini
run down till you reach these lines.
use these prefenrences as they worked for me if you want ..
+ changing your normal screen size @ iSizes... hope its not a apple thingy..lol
bTopMostWindow=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=767 <---what was 768 is now that.. simply reduced by "1"
iSize W=1023<---what was 1024 is now that..simply reduced by "1"
2nd..
go to steam default folder.
c:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Fallout4/
open with notepad file
Fallout4Prefs.ini
run down till you reach these lines.
use these prefenrences as they worked for me if you want ..
+ changing your normal screen size
bTopMostWindow=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=767 <---what was 768 is now that.. simply reduced by "1"
iSize W=1023<---what was 1024 is now that..simply reduced by "1"
IF IT CRASH"S
once game is no longer running
do this..right click game in list at steam library and find area for checking files do a re check..yep it takes a while..:(
after its checked and found the one file thats broken, go back to the other two ini files checking to see if they still have your same inputed resolutions and points.
if changed change them back then Start the game and lock picking is and was for me clearly there to pick those pesky locks. CRACKED!!.
Hope this helps others like me.
Cheers to the person who is hard to find with the locations of facts and doesn't leave links to what they ask you to follow.. lol
