Cleaning up your settlements?
Is it possible or will some kind of clean up be implemented in the future? Sanctuary for example has damn dead bushes everywhere that pop thru the floors. I've just secured the Castle and there's damn egg nest all over the place making it rather difficult to place stuff. I imagine the modding community will come up with something just curious if i've missed something in game.

Bush Burners Brigade. Make it a thing.

Ah, for that sort of clean up we will have to wait some months most likely after
the toolkit is released.
By then we can expect mods that probably will address this and more.
It too am highly bugged out over weeds sticking up out of here and there thru floors and all.
I want to put my settlers to work clearing the streets proper. Mowing weeds down.

Yah, got to wait for some mod love.

One thought though. I dont' have game up to test this just now. If one can
get a ID code to come up when targeting the weed/grass in console mode, perhaps
disable command would make them go away.
Be sure to do a save game before trying that though.

No sadly.. the bushes is annoying me aswel, my OCD can't handle it..
As for the castle, just fast travel and it will be cleaned ( most of it ) when you return.

The castle cleans itself up after a while, although the walls remain rubble, i don't think there's any way of fixing them

How about if there will be mod that you can grow some berries for extra food
Uzi [OTG] Nov 18, 2015 @ 5:49am
Well, if they are black berries Id be for that.
But, I'd rather grow some weed.
The good weed.

Bethesda needs a weedwacker dlc

its not just shrubery i want to get rid of. The "Garage" in Coastal cottage would be useful if not for the pile of dirt on the floor preventing you from building items on a level surface, not to mention all the stray wood planks everywhere. I basically rebuilt the house at that location. Also, with all the high grass and dead bushes its hard to see carrots.

There's a mod that lets you scrap junk in settlements like dirt and trash piles and stuff. I don't know the full extend of what it allows you to scrap though since I decided not to use it. The last time I looked at the mod page the author had posted a warning about a pretty nasty bug regarding altering cells and how every time you alter a cell, power armor in the cell is reset to its state when you found it, effectively scrapping any mods you added to it.

I think the mod was called Scrap Scrap?

There's a bunch of mods that do it, but the Spring Cleaning mod does it best. There's a problem with most where if you change the area you're unable to sprint. Spring Cleaning has a fix for that. It's also tunable so you can remove buildings and groundcover if you want (though you don't have to use those features). It made Hangman's Alley a decent settlement location for me.

Bethesda didn't think this stuff through did they. We want to clean up rabble and weeds, we want to rebuild that crumbling wall.... Is that such a hard concept to fathom.
Consider it maybe easier said than done, and/or not worth the investment. You can build thru them with the concrete slab prop and maintain leftover rubble as slopes/ramps.

Just leave castle after you done quest of taken over castle, better to make sure set simple power to connect to raider, once that quest done, then leave castle, then come back, there shouldn't be egg and mud, all that, then start working rebuild castle as you wish. Beside castle with little clean up, nothing we can do about, Settlement is all fun, but they should know someone love to had a nice and petty settlement, LOL

If it wasn't worth the investment or time then why bother with settlement building in the first place if they are going to half as# it o.0 Do a job properly I always say, or don't do it at all.
