Hair Styles ( for the People of Color lol)

As an African American male im am HIGHLY disappointed in the lack of black hairstyles in the game. There are like 4 and they all look exactly the same. Where are the dreads, cornrows, braids, fades, temper fades, waves, blow out afros etc etc. Im tired of having a black character with slick backed white people hair looking like Chuck Berry and James Brown lmao.

tbh they do have base haircuts just no ♥♥♥♥ like cronos or braids longer than your hand b/c in fallout having excess hair can be warrant for both contamination and danger as people or animals can probably latch around your hair or it can get caught easily.

Plus this is a 50's atompunk theme so having long hair aside from women was generally frowned upon. They usually had very straight or curly hair but short. It's just the fashion of the time. Like having a mustache and goatee combo isn't relevant back then even though it is now.

I'm just leaving this info here because its the only thread for it, and I probably spent more time looking for mods than I spent looking for Shaun so hopefully it'll save someone else the legwork of having to go page by page through the nexus and loverslab like i did...

i use around 10 hair mods so it's hard to narrow down which mod they're from but between Misc Hairstyles, KS Hairdos and Lore Friendly Hairstyles there are a few braid options. One of the braids looks like weave extensions (similar to Craig's girlfriend in Friday) and if you install 512 Hair colors you can give them a 2-tone look (original hair 1 color and the weave a different color). Then a handful of styles are close to a 90s Halle Berry and Rihanna look

for dreads of course Azar Ponytails has 2 options. I remember seeing one option that gives short dreads in a bob style I just don't know what mod it's from

Black Desert Online Hairs now has the cyberpunk 2077 hairstyles (afro included)

i highly recommend 512 Hair Colors because if gives dozens of every possible color, solid colors and 2-tone combinations. With these colors you can do stuff like make your hair darker at the roots and lighter toward the ends. It doesn't work on CWPuffs (black hair only) and Textured Hairs will only be a solid color

also Misc Hairstyles has a Physics patch...that's probably the mod that has the braids

There's a very straightforward way to prep for this upgrade in FO5 and future content:

Go on Amazon, Pinterest, etc and look up barbershop hairstyle posters, buy about five or ten each featuring faces and hairstyles which would be difficult or impossible to create in the current game engine, get the hairstyles coded in, and work on updating the facial editor to improve the range of possibilities.

Thanks for propagating the idea, that we are some how different, for the people who want to maintain control; by keeping us divided.

We are one species, we are not one "race" in terms of genetics. Not even close. There are even clades within clades within races. Biology is biology. Science is science. Thought experiments based on feelings do not discount facts and are not science. Your feelings about the biological definition of the word "race" are irrelevant to science. Sorry.

The problem with that is that our 'races' aren't races in the biological sense.
