this is usually a fps issue to high and we bounce off something and keep trying to move to the position to access the terminal. The only fix is keep fps around 60 or make use of the console command tcl to pass through whatever the character is bouncing off of.

If the game runs to fast then things get out of sync, we bounce off of terminals rather than activate them.
using tcl console command will sometimes get the player out of that bounce loop after finishing using the terminal use the command again to turn clipping back on.
the engine this game uses ties the physics, script timing, and a lot of other functions to the games framerate which is linked to the monitors vsync the ipresentlevel setting is either 0 for off 1 for a 60hz monitor or 2 for a 120hz monitor to limit the fps to 60 newer hardware that runs faster may take special custom adjustments.
like setting ipresentlevel to 0 then using the gpu software to limit the fps.
running the game to fast results in all kinds of strange things.
