Is it safe to raise fps above 60?
I've read a few topics on this and nobody seems to have a definitive answer. Game isn't unlocked in US yet so I can't test myself but I want to be prepared when it comes out. I've read stuff that says the previous game's Havok engines have caused issue when fps exceeded 60 but some people are reporting gameplay in the 80-120 range being okay. Can anyone confirm this works well, no issues?

Try it and see? If it's the same at 60 as 30, go to 90 and see if it's still good. ect. ect.

im running this on a titan x and im getting 250-350 fps but its unplayable because the game seems to be running in super speed mode.

This.

Do not do it.

If you raise the FPS above 60, you create the risk of inadvertent thermonuclear detonation of your GPU. I strongly recommend avoiding anything above 55FPS for your safety.

Alright thanks everyone that settles it.

no, it's not. Bethesda capped it for a reason.

People have also reported an inability to cancel out of computer screen terminals at high FPS without breaking the game (soft locking it).

Surely the human eye can't notice the difference over about 60fps can it?
I always though the human eye can only differentiate up to about 50 / 55 fps!!

Well madocs, try to play at 60fps on a 144hz monitor, then at 144fps. It's litteraly day and night. But yeah if your monitor is a 60hz monitor then u won't see any difference between 60fps and over 60fps
madocs Nov 9, 2015 @ 10:12pm
oh ok... fair enough! I will have to find out how many hertz my monitor is running at!

FPS is locked? I'm on a 144hz monitor and EVGA precision is showing my FPS between 110 and 144.
My FPS is close to 45-50. That's with everything maxed with motion blur off @ 1600P. Gotta do some tuning.
Slaine_ Nov 9, 2015 @ 10:29pm
There's definitely issues with getting to 144fps. For example I get stuck at terminals. I read the fix is to limit the fps below 110 so I'm giving that a shot.
Remi Nov 9, 2015 @ 10:31pm
144hz with no issues at 1440p. Although I did turn off AA and lowered a couple settings down to high. I'm always above 110 fps.
