Pixelsmack Nov 9, 2015 @ 9:24pm
I can't get 4k or FULLSCREEN. When I uncheck windowed, I lose all resolution options.

2560 * 1080 here... eff these Bethescucks who can't make a 21:9 mode for a AAA title in fuggin 2015. Godd Howard needs to self-immolate.

check ultra wide gaming forum. i am pretty sure you can force 21:9 or any other non native resolution with ini tweaking or other method.

None of that works for me. I can't even get it to work at 16:9 1920x1080. The only way i can get it to work is as a small square in the top left hand of my screen. This sucks

Pineapple Surprise has this in the above link;
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To run Fallout 4 at 21:9 without issue simply open Fallout4Prefs.ini in your
documents (or just search for it), and change the following lines to how they
are below:

bTopMostWindow=1
bMaximizeWindow=1
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=XXXX
iSize W=YYYY

Here XXXX is whatever your horizontal resolution is aand YYYY is whatever
your vertical resolution is. Next do the same for the second Fallout4Prefs.ini located
in wherever you insalled steam, then open steamapps, then common, then
Fallout 4, then Fallout 4 again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did that and after I changed
bBorderless=1 to =0
AND
bFull Screen=0 to =1
it worked.
Don't go back into the pre-load OPTIONS again as this may reset the ....pref.ini file

If you are changing the games resolution settings and it's still not changing the ratio then you've got something else forcing resolution like software or a driver.

Thanks, changing resolution in the Fall4Prefs.ini worked for me, playing in 2560x1080

I get this also, have changed the ini files and i now get the correct resolution but the hud is still 16:9 in power suits.

have to be honest i thought issues like this were for indy games.

Do the devs not think a game like this for PC will be not played on Ultawide and 4K monitors?
