Europe in the Fallout Universe

Does anybody know what happened to Europe in the timeline of the fallout-universe ?
And if not, how would you imagine it? No vaults, communists&capitalist everywhere and no nuka cola.... must be hard

I dont think theres ever been any direct in game references. But given usual SiFi, im pretty sure Englands in some sort of fascist dicatorship. I'm not sure why, but we always seem to go that way in distopian futures....

if i remember correctly all of europe was at war with each other when the bombs started dropping. not sure if they had vaults or anything. other than that, if anyone survived i dont imagine its much different than in the US, except with all the different languages in europe you might not be able to understand everyone you meet

Its interesting but without vaults - overly aggressive capitalist robots -supermutants/enclave and every other faction you might know it would also lose alot of its lore

I just think it would be an interesting part to explore in the universe ( but only informative, like in some docs etc) because europe was pretty important in real world cold war

in fallout 3 mr tenpenny says that europe was pretty jacked up, and that they were fighting amongst themselves before the bombs dropped, he doesnt say anything major about it post apocalyptic, but since he came over to America to make a better life for himself, then one can assume that europe must be really freaking bad

I'd say they managed. There was an (ex*) British spy in Fallout 3's Point Lookout. IIRC he said him and his peers knew the Great War was likely coming so I'd say they prepared.

Also iirc Alistair Tenpenny was from Great Britain too.

i doubt we will see europe but i dont see why they havent done anything in canada. i lore it was annexed by the US so it would be similar but still has a lot of differences since it was its own country with history and styles
It's retrofantasy anyway. It's not like there were massive and extensive vaults all over 1950s US. They could just fantasize the vaults into existence in Europe as easily. The games play up the goofy modernist American postwar furniture and style though. Europe would presumably have a more traditional approach to this stuff, and a little less dominated by advertising (except for perhaps the UK).

I've been thinking Japan before full Americanification would be an interesting location, but since it's the most nuked country in history I'm not sure how well that would go over.
