Can you gay romance your companions?
Look gamers
Fallout has been made a lot more progressive since it left the hands of those small minded folks at interplay. Bethesda is letting you play a black man and have a white wife, and according to these photos you can even romance your robot.

My question to Todd and the devs is, will the romanceable npcs engage in same sex romance like in games like mass effect? Or is this game biggoted.

seem to remember reading that everyone is bi and you can romance all of them (human companions only) male or female. Would have preferred a mix of straight, gay and bi companions myself rather then everyone in the world is bi but whatever.

Making threads like this won't help your case. Just like gay parades are not helping for acceptance at all.

If you want to make a difference for your kind, i suggest to goto Saudi Arabia, Iran or any other Islamic country and protest against bigotry. But you'd most likely lose your head in the process.

But not safely behind your PC anonymously spouting negative crap on a game that is just made for people to have fun, and not for some political or moral agenda.

From what I've seen. You can romance Piper either way, male or female. Thats the only companion I know you can for sure.

Lack of same sex "romance" doesn't make a game "bigoted". Just means Bethesda isn't EA.

Acutally it does, there has effectively been a gay apartheid in gaming for decades now. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if we're seeing gay repartitions in the form of free DLC or maybe better pre-order bonuses 5 years from now.

Yes, at Quakecon Bethesda said that you could romance the romanceable companions regardless of their gender. No worries though, there's still lots of bigotry and projection here in the forums to keep us amused.

You could always set your "preference" with the first romantic encounter - I think as far back as Fallout 2.

Actually Fallout 2 had same sex romance (of sorts) followed by old fashioned shotgun wedding.
So FO2 not only had same sex romance, it also had same sex marriage!

What the heck r u talking about? You could have gay BF/GF in Fallout 2(interplay), and suddenly in Fallout 3(bethesda) you couldn't be that liberal, then New Vegas came along(interplay=obsidian) now you can have gay/les GF/BF. Bethesda is small minded one. Interplay was always liberal.
Though setting black character as major protagonist wasn't their option thinking it was 90's.

Now you can make black major character(New Vegas) then flirt with white females(or even males)

You haven't played other Fallout series except Fallout 3, right?

What's so special about interracial romance/marriage, same-sex romance or even robot romance in a videogame? You only have an option to do it. If you don't like it, don't do it. Don't start running around crying and being a hypocrite. On the other hand, there will be people who'll enjoy this options for sure and why should we restrict their rights?
If you don't like it - just let it be. I doubt in Fallout 4 you'll be forsefed homosexuality like in Dragon Age II, what was really bad idea. Developers should give an option for people who want to engage into same-sex affairs ingame, but don't force people to do so. Skyrim already had an option of same-sex marriage, but it wasn't forcefed down your throat.
Just calm down, everyone and let it be. It's in the game for those who would like it. If you don't like it, don't do it.

This thread is just wow. Anyhow, I am fairly certain all companions were already confirmed as bi.

So the haters and the non-haters can stop whining about it one way or the other.

Fallout just like Skyrim has had gay characters before. All companions in Skyrim were bi as well, so there is absolutely no surprise here.
