Which order to play fallout games?

I want to try the first fallout games but which is the right order for the storyline?

This is How it is in Chronological Order: 76 Set in 2102, 1 in 2161, Tactics in 2197, BoS in 2208, 2 in 2241, 3 in 2277, New Vegas in 2281 & 4 in 2287.

Well if this discussion is gonna stay raised from the dead, might as well throw my hat into the ring too...

Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas are the original trilogy which have nothing to do with the Bethesda games(and while NV was published by Bethesda, it was not made developed by them).
Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are the new trilogy which(again) have nothing to do with the original trilogy(and yeah I know it's not a trilogy yet :P).
So don't feel like you might be missing out on important information when sticking to one of the trilogies. I personally prefer the original trilogy MUCH more than the new one, but that's just my opinion.


Fallout Tactics makes me wanna sing the soviet anthem in front of Liberty Prime.




Fallout 76 is a joke to the series. YES, even more so than Fallout Tactics. Can it be fun? Sure, but it absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥ on the lore of the series... Even more than Fallout 4 did. Thats not mentioning all the controversy behind it and Bethesda.
