Quick question about the "walk across the map in 10mins" rumor?...

Hello my Fallout friends, I just wanted to say first i'm not trying to ♥♥♥♥ talk the game at all, as I am soo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excited for next tuesday.

But my questions is, I heard a rumor that there was a leaked video where the guy treks across the entire map of Fallout 4 in only 10 minutes? I hope this is false, as 10 minutes is far too short, unless he was sprinting maybe?

Now I was hoping for a fairly large map, and would be okay with a smallish map since like Todd said its the most detailed world they ever have built; but 10 minutes kind of worries me. For comparision, I looked up a video of how long it took to walk from one end to the map to the other in fallout new vegas and skyrim, and both where around an hour or more which leads me to belive this 10 minute thing has to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right?..

Again im not trying to worry anyone or ♥♥♥♥ talk the game, I will love and care for this game no matter what it is, since down the line, mods will fix most of my prefreences I like to play with in the Fallout universe, besides map size haha.

he was sprinting, and the rumor seems to be true. 11 minutes. Think back to Fallout 3. Toward the end of my extensive play of that game, i started not fast traveling. So i would land up walking everywhere. That map was crossable in about that time. And that map was rectangular, meaning that it may take longer to cross north south than east west. I got 1300 hours out of FAllout 3. Don't forget that there will be DLC and mods too. And unlike GTAV and other games of that size, most of the buildings in Fallout 4 will be enterable. And Boston has a subway, i believe. Meaning, we will have a double map below us. All is good, friend. Were are about to play a hell of a great game.

why would stating facts get you called a troll? This 11 minute sprint has been verified as far as i know. Making it fact.

He was sprinting and Skyrim also took about that long. And honestly are you really gonna be running in a straight line bypassing enemies loot and quests anyway.

And that's stopping to kill enemies.

The fact that our fallout protagonist could even run across the map at level 1 and survive is pretty silly as well.

If it didn't have invisible walls, I would've been able to walk across New Vegas in less than 11 mins.

Maybe I'm a 'glass half full' kind of guy but I'm thrilled that someone ran the unpatched game for 11 mins, across the map, without crashing.

this is a better point. But was it a first level character? Yeah, i thought the map was suppose to not level with you this time around?

After hearing too much about the leaked stuff, it's just put me off the game now. I was really hyped, but I feel like this is going to be another game for modders to fix. Poor console people.

Might keep my money and just get it when the price has gone down.

Unless next week is met with really high praise for the game and the pros outweigh the cons then I may end up getting it.

#1 Leaked video. Why watch that crap for an RPG. It ruins the game.

#2 Leaked video. Usually put up to harm a game before release.

#3 Its Bethesda. They made Fallout 3 and Skyrim as their two previous games. You should know what to expect. Do you really think they are going to have a small map that can be easily fully explored? There you go.

Yeah, fresh out of the vault at least. Don't know if you level up in the vault beforehand, doubt it.

Idrc about the size of the map as long as there's things to do. Plenty of games have bigger maps but there's just empty space all around.

Agreed. Next time around, they should make a game with stunning features instead.

If your leaks put people off the game, there's a good chance you're doing something wrong.
