But that doesnt matter, since Bethesda never had dynamic lightning & shadows in their games.
And it looks horrible without that particularly in FO4, thats why i am asking if its possible.
Skyrim interiors were at least nice looking and had shadows placed here and there.
But FO4 is just plain ugly.
I mean, look at Fallout 3. Even most of the lights do that (objects won't cast, though) compared to Fallout 4.
Actually they could've created a new engine for newer features and better compatibility instead of using a 10-year-old engine. But you're right, the game is not really optimized right now and adding something will probably make it unplayable at all.
The lighting does look amazing most of the time, but then you get jarring inconsistencies where character shadows are cast by certain lights only, and none by others, giving that horrible floating person look, as seen in most parts of Vault 81.
No they dont.
Turn on your pipboy or power armor light and you will see that nothing casts shadows.
Looks like someone created a mod for this http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/281/? and it looks 10 times better now. Wish someone can do the same for all the other lights.
