It's the industry standard to release on a Tuesday thanks to Sonic 2 for genesis. Before sonic 2 game release dates were random and all over the place.

The 10th was the first tuesday that would give them sufficient time for copies to be ready for distribution.

Thats how.

Yeah it was a marketing ploy and they called it Sonic 2sday (tuesday) it caught on and other people adopted it and now almost all games are released on tuesday.

IT has to do with numerology, no release dates are random ;)

Yes, and it's going to be one of the best gaming presents we've had. :)

No its because 99.9% of new releases come out on a tuesday thanks to Sonic 2. Nothing to do with numerology.

In fact if you check release dates almost all dvds, video games, etc come out on a tuesday as well. It's also the reason redbox dvd rentals update on a tuesday, PSN store updates, etc.

Well, i would say more, people get they salary transfered with several delayed days from their company to the bank.

At 10th people mostly have still some cash left and the money is transfered for sure.
To release a game at the end of a month would drop alot of copies.
And the Tuesday, nowadays, i guess it allows for splitting peoples into half, coz many work at the morning, while others already downloading it. Then, when people finish work, school, different timezones, the rest can download while the others play. And the rest of the rest will use the weekend. :OP

If this was the case then they would have released it 11/1 not 11/10

Armistice day.

What better way to celebrate the end of the war that was supposed to end all wars by playing a game about life after a nuclear war where the premise is "war never changes".
