Texture not loading properly??
Hi i noticed something strange, in some places and on some objects the textures of the game doesnt load properly, like in the wooden bridge in sanctuary when i get near to it its rendered using VERY LOW quality textures , then after few seconds switches to mid quality texture and finally to high quality..... its really annoying and immersion-breaking for me.. anyone else?

Same. Its probably a bug, rather than our computers.

A bug i hope they fix. And a small advice to not walk on them. Sometimes it's ok but sometimes you fall thrue. Not good on a overpass. Has got killed then the textures does not load properly but the cars and stuff on the overpass was ok, but fell throue and killed me :)

Thats funny. I dont have any of my games on an SSD, and texture loading isnt a problem in the slightest for every other game.

Well getting an SSD is not a solution. Since i got a friend with alienware and fallout installed on SSD and still it happens to him too. get your s h it together.

Beefy rig + SSD + those tweaks = much better than vanilla

If your computer is already struggling to play it at healthy frames... then your up a creek unless Beth fixes it and we all know Beth doesn't do that sort of thing.

Its a bug related to the lod textures not being updated with non lod textures. Theres a point when your approaching an object where the lod textures (low quality far distance) are supposed to be replaced with the regular textures(high quality near distance) and occasionally they are not updated until you get way to close and can see it changing. The idea is its supposed to update before your close enough to notice.

It is on the bethesda bug report forums. They know about it well just have to wait for a fix.

I have this problem, but worse. Many of my textures don't load properly and it looks to be what I would imagine a distant object should be loading as. Also, they never seem to actually load in properly and I have tried a variety of settings.

I had texture loading issues on original game release, but the 1.2 patch seemed to fix it for me, everything looks better

Seeing as there has been no mention of this error from Bethesda, I think it is highly unlikely that we will get an oFFicial fix.
