WHERE THE F*CK IS MY "Fallout4Custom.ini" FILE
I have absolutely had it. I do not know why my game does not have this custom.ini file and I am sick and tired of nobody knowing what the f*ck I'm talking about. ALL I WANT TO DO IS GET MY MODS WORKING AGAIN. Where is this file?

Yep, that's it. It's where your saves are kept.

Nope, nothing. I know where the ini files are supposed to be, as I had previously gotten mods to work. But after the last patch (1.2?) my mods no longer functioned despite being marked as "active" in the NMM. But I read about how I now need to alter the custom.ini file but I do not see it and cannot find it. I still have the prefs.ini file though. This has been extremely frunstrating and I have been scouring the internet trying to find a solution for weeks now.

I know where its at, I've done this before. But that custom file, which I read was added after the patch, is just simply not there.

Hmmm, not sure. Mine is definitely there.

I don't know if it'll work but just create a new word document named fallout4custom.ini

This is the only text in there after I set it to use mods. Try copy/paste see if it works.

And have you tried to scan your game cache for Fallout 4? It may realize it's not there and replace it.

If you can think of anything, let me know. But know that I have tried numerous solutions, including verifying the cache, doing a clean installs, consulting video's and wiki's about mod enabling, and just plain playing without it. Nothing.

Hmm, I may try this one. Do I need to convert the file to one form or another? Or would the ".ini" extension take care of that for me?
Dust 20 DIC 2015 a las 16:48
Ya just put the .ini at the end and it should do its thing, it'll ask you if your ok with the change from txt to ini but thats fine. I've tried it and I've made a copy myself that worked.

Hum. it's possible you're not viewing "hidden" files in windows...which may be hiding .ini files. Try toggling that on.

fallout4custom.ini isn't the file you edit to get the mods working again anyway

Yes it is. Check the nexus for yourself.

How would I toggle that on?
