Placement of lights and wires [clipping issue]
I'm in my Minecraft phase of the game now. Which is funny because I never played Minecraft.

I have troubles attaching wires to some of those square light tiles, because they clip inside the wall and the wire doesn't connect.

Is there a way to connect the wire (via console) to get electricity to those tiles?
I don't want to set up everything again.

Unfortunatly wiring lightboxes can be tedious. i sugesst building them on the ground one letter or symbol at a time then wire it on the ground and afterwards move it into place.

i built the "Z" first and wired it, then moved the rest into place

Do they stack together?

yes you can stack light boxes vertically or horizontal. you can even delete the attaching boxes to make one that appear to float.

I phrased that wrong, I know they stack. Sorry.

Let me try again,

do they move together? So basically you can just finish your work on the floor and move the WHOLE Thing around without much fuss?

correct, to grab the whole thing hold down the selection button in workshop mode, it will highlight anything that is toughing it or close to it( so its a good idea to build your letters away from any existing objects so when highlighting it doesnt grab something unwanted).

How did you make them horizontal? (like for a dance floor) when I built one I could only rotate it vertical

Cool, thanks, I will have to redo some part but at least the work is safe and I don't need to wear a hard hat because I can work on the ground floor :)

that i havent figured out yet, but im assuming they used console commands to rotate the axis. i havent messed with that option much.

It would be "setangle x ###" and "setangle y ###" you can also use "getangle x" and "getangle y" to see where theyre currently sitting at.
