Legendary Plasma Rifle
Has anyone found a legendary plasma rifle drop? If so do you remember which enemies you got it from? It seems like certain legendary enemies only drop certain groups of weapons or specific gear types.

you can buy one in the institute shop, its does not have the best legendary prefix but its ok

I will also add that depending on your level any legendary creature/person can drop a legendary plasma rifle, I would think its level +40

Yeah I've got legendary plasma off of radroaches and supermutants alike. It's just random as far as I can tell.

The legendary drop system appears to be completely randomized with every legendary enemy possibly being able to drop any kind of armor/weapon with any legendary prefix, there does not seem to be anything that influences that.

There is a rather popular method to farm legendary weapons at "National Guard Training Yard" which can be seen as a proof for that statement even though it's obviously a rather small sample size.

Another good place if your high enough is the Gunners Plaza.

Just save before fast traveling close to there
then go there, kill everyoone and loot. if nothing you want appears, reload from before you faast travel close to it.

But yes i've found a plasma rifle that does fire damage, and one for hunting. I want either explosive damage or double projectile effect though.

the pull the plug mission on survival is a good one for farming if your level is high, the enemies don't spawn till you switch on the pump so just make a quicksave before that
lynn woods is also another spot as the legendary deathclaw dosen't spawn till you flip the switch so you can quicksave before that and repeat until you get what you want

Yeah I'm really trying to get a plasma rifle with those effects too! How many legendary weapons can you loot from this gunners plaza place at once and how long does it take? Also are you on survival?

I don't actually know. I've found it and killed the gaurds outside but have not gone inside. So doing that trick is probably out of the question for me at this point in my game. As for legendaries there probably is about 5 legendary people inside. But this knowledge is from a prior game completion on Normal. So there might be more.

As far as time it should only take about 10 minutes to clear the building and scavenge most stuff. But that again was from when i played on Normal. Even then though i had an Overcharged Marksmans Plasma Sniper Rifle to do most of the grunt work and kill everyone.

And yes my current game is survival, the 2 previous playthroughs are Normal and hard playthroughs. The hard one (<hehe) was for just beating the game and siding with the institue.

Legendary plasma pistol (which you can convert into any plasma type weapon) that shoots two projectiles and consumes only one. Got it from a legendary bloat fly near the BoS checkpoint thing at the Glowing Sea. Cant rememember difficulty, but I play on survival right now.

Just throwing this out there... you know that you can simply attach legendary modifiers to any gun using the console?

I know it could be considered cheating by some people but at the same time exploiting game mechanics to farm legendary weapons is just as much cheating as just using the console...
