Any mod or trick for fixing this floor placement bug?
Man the buggy and broken building in this game is so frustrating. I can't believe I got my trade building fully completed and perfect (with Simple Intersection mod of course). I'll try the mat trick and see if it works..

Hmm well it's not "broken" per say it's just a very badly designed and executed building system that was probably rushed at the last minute to check off the 'we need to appeal to the minecraft crowd' box. Such a shame. MODDERS WE NEED HALP!!

Yeah I messed with that single floor piece for 10 minutes lol it's a no go. Can't raise or lower it, can't finagle it around and force it to like the spot by holding E, nothing works. The funny thing is the other floor pieces auto-snapped to that space so I went to place the last one thinking it was an easy snap and I was about to move on to the walls and was like..wait what? I am going to browse the nexus later and maybe try out another of the popular settlement mods and see what there is to work with.

If you mean did the environment/texture/structure builder at Bethesda put something in that particular space that is causing it to be uneven and making it impossible to put a simple floor there, yeah that could be the case. That would be pretty dumb and a great example of one dev screwing up the build system by not realizing what he is doing to the space.

I'm just going to leave this screenshot here because I know there's a few of you who don't know where this is or what I am attempting to do here. This is probably one of the best spots and examples in the game where you should be able to freely put the build system to great use and rebuild and go nuts with a particular space and you just can't. Why can't I rebuild the floor, the walls, decorate and put this space to use? Who knows! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=578936441

Have you tried starting from that point and placing the others?

There is/was a mod called 'place in red' I think.

Or do any roof piece fit insteads of floor, that may look ok?

Yes, for some reason that particular spot won't accept the floor piece I want to place there. Now I know the build system is actually just broken lol.

I actually meant the first two out of alignment, then the rest will auto snap out of alignment too, only slightly..

And yep its that infested safe house, be careful a mirk queen is just up the road..
