Clean up Red Rocket truck stop?
Is there a way to clear out all that crap you can't scrap at the Red Rocket truck stop? It has so much debris you can't get rid of it's getting irritating because I'd really like to develop it as a settlement.

I wish, maybe DLC. But we should not have to have a DLC for that though. Maybe they might add something in a update?

I got that place down to little under 1/5 on the settlement size bar when I was done clearing it.

Brodual does mod spotlights for FO4 and Skyrim on youtube. one of the videos in the last week had a mod that enabled a better scrapping system to clear out all that "extra" clutter that vanilla cant get. should check it out.

Great mod is called spring cleaning, get it, and you will need another mod, called simple placement (?) its on spring cleanings page.

Spring cleaning lets your scrap almost everything aside from major items. But you need to get that second mod with it as spring cleaning has a weird bug that effects the placement of settelment objects indoors. The other mod fixes that issue.

^^^I think you're missing the point. Yes, you certainly can scrap a lot of crap but it also leaves a lot of other crap behind that makes the place look like a dump, even after it is "cleaned up". The boards, rocks, weeds and piles of dirt, etc. that are clearly visible in your screenshot, for example.

For people who want their secret base to look nice, the best they can get is "half-done" at best.

Megaton started me wondering about this issue - with the available techonology, resources and proven skills, why should people want to live in a place that looks like ♥♥♥♥? I don't care how irradiated I am or how miserable the world has become, I would not accept rain dripping in through my roof or large mammals jumping through gaping holes in my walls. By the same token, a pile of busted up lumber and dirt sitting in my doorway would bother me.

Clean it up, patch those holes...take some effing pride in your work! Using junk to build a wall is smart, piling up junk and calling it a "wall" is just lazy.

I wish you could properly clear an area of structures, debris and rocks and then flatten the ground. So as you can actually design your own settlement properly without obstructions.

could always use a shack or concrete foundation to level out the area, its not perfect solution but be better then running into collision issues when building
