Oh ok, thanks for info and tip. Cracking out industiral lighting now :-)
Thanks for workaround and response :-)
That will fix the bulb itself, but the ambient lighting coming off it still doesn't work all the time.
The industrial wall lights don't have this issue
Just tried this, and I do get the ambience as well. But if you move the light again, the ambience does disappear. If you store it then place it, the ambience is ok if I dont move the bulb at all lol :-)
Lamps, hanging bulbs, fans, wall mounts, industrial halogen things...it's all doing exactly what it is supposed to do. I even stick a vertical connector on the top of old street lights so I can hang some bulbs from them and light up the areas outside. It all works in my game.
I get the impression from many of the comments in here that it is disappointingly popular to cry "it's glitched" when the player simply lacks the understanding of how to make it work.
Suggesting that it is unnecessarily complicated or that the game does a poor job of explaining things to players would be legitimate complaints. This tsunami of faux "glitches" being reported simply makes it less likely that any real problems will get dealt with in a timely fashion.
Or maybe I just got lucky.
Don't worry, this or something else will break and you'll join the rest of us who wonder why something suddenly stopped working.
