Application Load Error
Anyone else have any ideas,
The FO4 Launcher opens, I press play and get the application load error. I have flushed the steam cache, verified the game file integrity, restarted steam, checked I have the latest gfx drivers, rebooted my computer, re-installed FO4 3 times, made sure any saved games are not in my games file and left a question with Steam Support 2 days ago with no reply.
Nothing has worked, I've played 250hrs with no issues so my PC is up to the job, any further suggestions would be most welcome.

Computer Specs:
Windows 10
AMD FX 6200 3.8GHz
8GB Ram
Geforce GTX 970 4GB

Thank you, yes it's the same error. If I get mine working again, I'll post my solution up, but hopefully either either Steam or Bethesda sort it out with a patch

Same here!

Same problem here. The game was working fine, then I go to start it yesterday and when I click PLAY from the FO4 splash screen I get "Steam Error - Application load error 3:0000065432" and it returns to the splash screen.

I have deleted local content, re-downloaded and still have the same issue. I've downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card - the problem persists. I have no mods installed. I have tried windows mode and running offline - still fails to load. Other Steam games e.g. Counterstrike Global Offensive work fine.

Clearly something has changed - come on Steam & Bethesda!

And exactly the same issue with me. Working fine yesterday. Overnight two things, though. Windows 10 installed some background updates and Steam updated (I'm on the beta channel). So a tricky mix of uncertainty there - either or both being the culprit.

Guys,

I'm having the exact same problem. I played for a month without issue and now all I get is "Application load error 3:0000065432". I've also uninstalled the game and steam, nothing works...

Fallout 4 simply stopped loading when no changes took place on my PC. It has been impossible to solve this problem on my own and I'm computer literate (though not a programmer). I have a computer that far exceeds the specs required for the game (a custom built, top of the line Origin gaming laptop) and I'm continuously getting the Steam error listed above. I have not changed a single thing on my computer since I last played Fallout 4 on Friday (I have over 176 hours logged on, level 67 and almost done with my playthrough). It worked perfectly, I have no mods and I was looking forward to beating the game today.

I'm not writting without researching this forum or Google, but none of the solutions suggested fixed the issue and allowed Fallout 4 to run.

Btw, I ran many other games from my Steam library (4 other triple A titles) without any issue.

This forum and the internet at large have many suggestions, but none of them work. These are the fixes I have tried so far (none of them worked):

0 - Updated video card (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
1 - Run steam as Administrator (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
2 - Run steam and Fallout 4 as administrator (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
3 - Reboot computer (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
4 - Verify integrity of game cache (done twice - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
5 - Delete local content, i.e.: uninstall and reinstall the game (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
6 - Delete Steam .BLOB file and have Steam download a new one (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
7 - The much discussed antivirus solution regarding Security Pack and Deepguard, first I'm a Kaspersky user, second I even turned it off to try and play Fallout 4, but that doesn't work either (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4);
8 - Uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it. (done - doesn't fix Fallout 4).

If any one is curious, please find below my dxconfig:

Application load error P: 000000654321 and Error code 80
This is a synchronization issue with Steam. There are 3 ways I know of to fix this.

1. The first thing to try is just to exit out of steam, not just close it from the x in top right corner, but in upper left click Steam>Exit. Restart Steam.

2. If that doesn't work then shut down the computer, not just restart but power off. Wait 2 minutes to allow the software hooks to reset or some such nonsense. Then restart.

3. Last is exit Steam again in the same way. Goto your Steam directory, for me it is here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam and delete the clientregistry.blob file. Shut down the computer, not just restart but power off. Wait 2 minutes. Restart and Steam will create a new version of that file.

Probably # 3 is what needs to be done.
frmn Dec 21, 2015 @ 10:16am
Hi cfs111. Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly this has not resolved the problem. I have just followed this through but it has had no impact. I've tried just-about all of the options tried by NazgulPrime above, with a similar spec machine.
I reckon this is a Steam issue rather than a Fallout issue (even though other games are running). When I start Steam is come on screen, but does not connect to the Store - there's a little whirling 'cog/sun' in the top right corner that suggests Steam is trying to do something but never gets there.
As DragonBR - bizarre and frustrating zero response from Bethesda or Steam.
cfs111 Dec 21, 2015 @ 10:24am
Yes that error code is a synchronization error with Steam. It shows much more often with the Workshop than it does with Steam in general. Do you have Steam cloud storage on? I am going from Skyrim experience here. Since it also says error code 3, maybe this will help.
grimus Oct 28, 2014 @ 12:36pm
Steam Help Pages: blue text within the linked steam help page will offer further help or information when clicked on.
Incomplete Installation Error Codes; 2,3,10,16,20,35,53,56:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9851-PFHN-9932

Also, the fix for error code 2 in the help pages above (moving Steam out of Program Files (x86)) has worked for a number of people in regards to Skyrim. As this error is Steam related it may work here as well.
DragonBR Dec 21, 2015 @ 11:46am
Hi guys, my game is working again, i just played 10 mins. (hope its work again when i try to play). What i did was, first i want to make my discontent with steam and bethesda, never thought they would just ignore like that, anyway! So, after i got the error msg 'Steam error - Application load error 3:0000065432' and noone could help and steam and bethesda ignored me, the final decision was start over (format my pc), so i did, i cant say i did it just because Fallout4 i was thinking in do that anyway, and this just helped me decide to do so, then, after i start over, i got the problem i told above, the launch screen just took me back to the launch screen in a cycle, so, i updated all my motherboard drives, BIOS, Chipset and so, and then, it solved this issue, i did the same b4 format it, but, doesn't work. Maybe it can help who having this problem.
Once again, thank you bethesda and steam for nothing! Ando sorry to not write the names with the first letter in capital this because i really disappointed and i want you know that!
Mmm... Jan 2, 2016 @ 2:59am
Added this to another post but copying it here too:

I managed to fix mine after weeks of frustration. My fix was to put the game in the same directory as my Steam install (i.e. both on my C drive). Up to now I have been running games off my D drive. No idea why it stopped working all of a sudden. If others have done the same as me the following link shows how to move a game.
