Yes I know, but this was originally in the game. (You becoming Elder.) I think it shouldn't be rushed and given a DLC size storyline where Maxon fails at leading the Brotherhood and it sequences of evens you take over. Paladin Lyons got to be Elder, so why not Sentinel *Sole Survivor*? :p
Yes, indeed. It is because of the fact that it was planned for the game that I added this discussion. Also, I certainly don't think that they should rush the players rise the leader of the Brotherhood. I think it could be a nice medium length side story where after a certain number of events and maybe some failures of Maxson that you come in the position of seizing control you know. This is just off the top of my head, but with some decent writing I think this could be something pretty exciting. :)
-sara lyons come back, she did not die, and take back elder
or
-Danse becomes the elder.
I despise this whole thing about your player character becoming elder, hell i even hate the fact he is made a paladin, you do like 3 quests for them and BAM! you are already a high ranking member of their faction and only known them for like 2 weeks.
It would kind of feel like making command and conquer in fallout. The player is after all supposed to be the tip of a spear in this game if not a lone wanderer. Stupid enough to be called general of the Minutemen (which in honest doesnt mean anything but the servant boy of the Abernathys)
Being the leader of a force like the BoS would be silly because..i could probably remove the raider thread from the commonwealth in a few days with such a force. 10-20 Knights in each settlement with those iron fortifications of the brotherhood, which they used at the airport and the settlements would be save even without the player showing up..and then wiping out any raider post FOREVER.
If such attempt wouldnt be possible it would be clear to us that the whole force of the BoS in the commonwealth is only fake and shallow, that they are only as strong as they have to be to fit into the continouation of the story.
I mean with the destruction of the pryden and liberty prime they are litterally gone in the institue ending Whats with their many vertibirds they still seem to have, with all those paladins and knights still out there doing patrol in the common wealth..they are all doomed only because the player joined the institue..done..no arguementation possible.
Last but not least..i would prefer to build up something myself instead of taking over power somebody else gathered in the past.
Like gaining really controle over the minutemen, shape patrol lines through the settlements myself..secure the roads with them..make caravan lines save. Make certain settlements omni protected so that they dont need the apearience of player to survive an attack...
Come to think of it, most if not all of the members of the Institute also seem rather cultish when talking about "Father".
I understand everyone's opinion tough.
Well most people here weren't against it, I myself just thought it would need more content other than that. It would be a nice plus to any DLC though.
If they have someone from obsidian write it, i'd be all about it.
True but sadly odds of that happening aren't good xD
