Shadow Distance
So I have a problem with shadow distance and fps drops in cities because of it. I tried playing around with fDirShadowDistance and fShadowDistance in the ini and couldn't really land a value that improves fps in these areas without either changing iDirShadowSplits to 2 or leaving both fDirShadowDistance and fShadowDistance at around 4-6k which isn't great. I also tried the mod that adjusts shadow distance based on fps and didn't like it much.I am also having some doubts with my CPU, however i can not explain why the cpu is never fully utilized during these fps drops and hovers at around 50-60% usage. In addition, the i7 3770k performs approximately 10% less than the 4790k, which means that most likely it isn't about how old this cpu is. I have read about other people who "solved" the problem by simply setting shadow distance to medium, but the game looks awful when you're watching the shadows being rendered right in front of you and I was hoping that I would find some sort of middle ground value that at lease wouldn't make me watch shadows as they render ahead of me. There has to be an alternative of some sort. Anyone have any tips or tricks besides what I've discussed that worked out at all?

please do not post saying "i'm running the game just fine", that's great and i'm truly glad that there are so many people out there enjoying this amazing game without problems, but this forum was posted to discuss an issue that I am having and to look for a way to solve it, not for you to advertise your game experiance. Thank you.

Happens to me too, I have to keep shadows and godrays on High instead of Ultra (GTX 770 here)

Here is an example of a spot where fps drops happen (this is not my video btw) my fps doesn't dip as low as the guy in this video but it dips to around 37-40ish fps in this exact area for example. Lowering shadow distance and godrays to high won't do much in these areas.
