Best Legendary Effects&Weapons For Damage and OP?
I just found a Wounding 10mm Pistol (+25 Bleed Damage) and it got me thinking is it worth using and what would be a better effect for damage and other OP weapons with the best effects to make a really good Legendary wep/effect combo?

Depends on playstyle. I stealth and like weapons that do double damage when enemy is full health.

neverending is also a good one. Still needs ammo but cuts back on having to mod for magazines, thus it allows greater damage barrels and whatnot because you won't add weight by midding clips.

Double damage when enemy is full health for clearing trash.
% chance to cripple limb for high health bosses.

Welcome to easy mode

Wounding on any gun with a decent RoF (or shotgun) is in the IWIN button category of OP, along with kneecapping and explosive. Make that thing automatic and watch it drop everything.

Explosive is probably the best if you invest both in that weapon type's specific perks and Demolition Expert.

The explosive shotgun I've got is definitely my most used "oh ♥♥♥♥ I'm about to die if I don't do something quick"weapon.

Some combinations to keep an eye out for:

Exploding or Wounding shotguns. Both exploding and wounding add damage per pellet that they would for a full projectile from any other gun, making shotguns very efficient here. Also, the added damage is not reduced due to range. Both are also excellent at +dps for automatic weapons (gatling laser, flamethrower, whatevs) if you don't mind the relative ammo-inefficiency of automatics.

Furious automatic weapons -- damage increases per consecutive hit on same target.

Instigating semi-automatic/bolt action rifles. Double damage if target is at full health -- stacks neatly with sneak-attack bonuses, weak spot, Rifleman, Ninja, Sandman... extremely powerful if you have other modifiers to improve that first-hit damage and you have a suppressor to make it easier to make additional sneak attacks on other targets.

Kneecapper weapons are worth a look -- they're not really OMG ROFLSTOMP general-purpose weapons, but the 25% chance of crippling a leg even on a shot to center of mass is excellent if you're being charged by a pack of ghouls or a Deathclaw. Deathclaws are trivialized if they're literally reduced to a crawl. If you're using them just for this and using another weapon as your primary damage dealer, the per-hit cripple chance is independent of weapon damage or ROF, so a lightweight 10mm kneecapping pistol converted to a full-auto would be better for this role than a kneecapper .50 cal rifle.

Kneecapper is really good, even on melee weapons. I beat a Deathclaw to death with the Big Jim on my first playthrough.
