Deathclaw Gauntlet
One of my favorite weapons from before, but is it affected by the Big Leagues perk, or the Iron Fist perk? I want it for my Melee guy, but if I remember correctly, it's Unarmed.

Iron Fist, it is an unarmed weapon like it always been.

I'd like to know why we can't take the deathclaw hand and just slap enemies with it like a melee weapon.

That's what I thought, but that little hope in the back of my head that I wouldn't have to start a fresh character or waste previously spent points to use it effectively was too powerful.

You could always remove the ranks you have in Big Leagues with console and add the same amount ranks into Iron Fist, I mean, it is technically cheating, but it is also a single-player game, so who cares.

Why the hand, I want to lunge the whole deathclaw at my enemies, alive preferably.

Just imagine,
Full Strength and in full powerarmor you grab the tail of the Deathclaw swirl it around like an Olympian Hammerswinger and toss it towards a group of raiders/Minutemen.

A guide for a deathclaw gauntlet? You know, later on, raiders start using them in some places and legendaries drop... why it's now treated like a unique in a mission, mystifies me.

It actually happend to me, a raider veteran attacked me with some kind of melee weapon, when I killed her I saw she dropped a Deathclaw Gauntlet.
Those raiders are getting smarter everyday lol

Put in on a stick. Now it's a melee weapon :)

I killed a group of raiders, about 3 had the gauntlets. Sites and wikis list it as a unique, it simply isn't a unique item anymore. I think the one mission based one, should at least have boosted stats compared to the others.
