WTF, Codsworth actually said my character's name out loud.

I named this new character "Red", and I'm at the very beginning where Codsworth tells me that Shaun needs whatever he needs. But he said "Ms. Red", he said out loud my character's name, am I tripping balls or what the ♥♥♥♥ just happened?

At the Reveal Tom Hodd said that Codsworth has been programmed to say the name of your playable character.(but some names might not have been coded in)

I'm sure there is not a feature that does it, definitely a bug. Consider yourself lucky, it could have said my name instead of yours.

(Not that I named my character that. In all seriousness, I went with Vercingetorix... although unlike the historical personage, he's much more proficient in applying rifle rounds directly to the forehead, than using a sword or spear.)

Wow that's indeed an amazing feature, I wonder how much it cost in voice production. Too bad in my first playthrough I named my character Cristian (which is my name), instead of Christian.

It's just a gimmick they put in the game, boring that only Codsworth says your name. They don't say your name where it actually matters...like in the entire main story.

Granted this is the budget version of the Fallout 4 game they wanted to make so it was never gonna happen really but I can dream.
