Does anyone know the console command to give merchants more money?
This is really bugging been trying to sell water for a week now, every vendor has 200-500 caps if i'm lucky. I buy merchants in my cities, but theyre useless , more often or not they got 120 caps or 0.

no ty....broken piece of crap. Half of the times merchants just wanna trade instead of selling.
Im level 20... i'm not gonna wait till i reach lvl 40 for that 500 extra caps..
Maybe ill sell my ♥♥♥♥ to takahashi with 25 caps each visit...

So basically you want to cheat to get more caps.

Why not just use console to add caps?
and then throw away water bottles if you feel too bad about using cheats.

Or just use the engine to give yourself all ranks of cap collector? It really isnt breaking the game as I highly doubt you run out of ammo and medicine so it doesnt effect combat just cap digits.

Console -> Click on merchant -> additem 0000000f 1000

That gives the merchant 1000 caps.

If you really want to do that. There are also mods I believe which increase the cash on hand for vendors.

basically i want to sell my stuff... if you call that cheating that's okay with me.
I do not want endless bottlecaps, i want a place i can sell my 3k caps and don't wanna run to 50 people to get it?

It's basically a huge design flaw.

i wouldnt consider adding more caps to merchants cheating. he's not giving himself 999999 caps, he just wants to cut out some of the artifical gameplay fluff that would entail hopping between several different npc merchants just to sell some crap.

saving time doesn't always mean cheating.

there's a mod that gives all the vendors 1000, 10,000, and 30,000 caps

why not invest in the merchant after getting the relevant perk? it's like 500 caps, you can get that back and next time they restock, they have more money, more items, and better items

ergo not entirely broken

I guess I'll be looking for some mods, instead of doing the console command everytime, thanks!

because you can only do this at lvl 40, I'm level 20 , spend time at the farm, cooked up some bottles of water now i wanna sell em. That's why I do feel they broke this mechanic.

Without cheats, your best option is to visit them all and sleep/wait for 72 in-game hours afterwards.
