Fallout 4 - Which Directx should I be using?
Right now, I am running on windows 10 with Directx 12; however, Fallout 4 will not even launch (error 0xc000007b) This is the last thing I have not checked in trying to find a solution. :steamsad:

The game only runs with DX11. It's not a user-end decision.

Reinstall DX10. The dxsetup.exe can be found here: %%\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010

DX11 and 12 are already installed on Windows 10. You don't need to do anything, indeed, you will never be asked to do anything.

If you are running a laptop, chances are you have some hybrid video hardware like Nvidia Optimus, and are having driver problems related to that. The vanilla Nvidia drivers may not be what you need, you might need a specific driver from the maker of your laptop.

the game only works on 64bit

Make sure you run the game and Steam as admin. Also, what video card do you have, and what video card driver version? You only mentioned this in one of your posts:

Your processor does not meet the minimum CPU requirement, by the way.
Well the thing is it actually allowed me to play once - went flawlessly, even for the lowest requirements - I played for 3 hours no glitches or any kind of lag.

well its a i5-4200U, there would be no point in building a laptop with such a low power CPU if you were going to put a GPU in it, so I am guessing he is using the intel HD 4400 IGP.

First install this driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25484/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-

Then do this:

Then enjoy FO4 at 15 FPS on low settings.

There's a difference between running and running well. :) For someone coming from a mid-range desktop build, even a high end laptop is generally a big step down.
