X6-88 location???????

Ok i've searched the entire institute top to bottom and I found a reddit that told me to check nordhagen beach and still no joy then I spawned him with the console and I wasn't allowed to take him as a companion seriously wtf?? Any suggestions?

You have to get the quest AND meet him during the quest.

I accidently did the quest without meeting him first (saw a cool looking raider fort and went exploring) and never could find him again.

He hangs out in the SRB (Synth Retention Bureau).
You need to do more main quests in order to unlock him as a companion, though.

Edit: Not sure if it's just before or just after the Mass Fusion quest.

No no no I've DEFINENTLY unlocked him and he should be available because it told me he was and I did the Libertalia mission with him and everything but I just can't for the life of me find him anywhere I havent seen him since the libertalia quest. And like I said I have literally searched every corner of the institute including the SRB plus i've sweeped libertalia and Nahant wharf and no sign of him anywhere

The mission at the libertalia does not unlock him.

Yes I OBVIOUSLY realise that. How many times do I need to make clear that I HAVE DEFINENTLY UNLOCKED HIM FOR USE AS A COMPANION. Anyway it doesn't matter I was able to console command my way around it.

Reddit you say? I don't know how reddit game version works I know only how Steam game version works.

To unlock X6 you have to finish quest called Mankind Redefined. That quest appears after Battle of Bunker Hill quest.
You must. You cannot pick him before finishing Mankind Redefined which is Institute faction quest.

After you finish that quest, he will be inside Synth Retention Bureau inside Institute.
If you finished the quest I mention, please post a screenshot you did.

Let's just hope you didn't ruin your game by cheating him via console.

Joxer, can you really not read... OP has stated SEVERAL times, hes unlocked him and used him, but he dissappeared after dismissing him.

Actually Peon was correct except for the part about me having previously used him and if ANYBODY would read what I wrote to begin with they would realise I know for sure he was unlocked as I said "I've DEFINENTLY unlocked him and he should be available because it told me he was" For God's sakes people I'm not a moron the freaking game tells you when a companion is available if it hadn't told me how the heck would I know I could bring him with me at all. All I was asking was WHERE HE SPAWNS. And by the way just because I said I hadn't seen him since Libertalia didn't mean that was as far as I had gone with the institutes missions.

And as for the guy hoping I didnt break my game I didn't I saved before spawning him and reloaded when that didn't work then I discovered I could teleport to him with the console so I found the original to take with me. Why would I post a screenshot do you think I was lying or something I did have the mankind redefined mission completed and father told me I had quarters in the institute now and a message came up to tell me he was available and he DEFINENTLY wasn't in the SRB because I found him wandering Nahant near where the Libertalia mission takes place when I teleported to him.

Oh and I guess I should post how I solved the problem. Open the console and type player.moveto then whoever you are looking fors base ID
