Cult => The Order of the Forgotten Bones
Ok.. i found some notes about strange cult.
1) At Taffington Bouthouse we can find a note about "unmakred" location.
2) Malden Drainage (unmarked location). We can find Russel body and holodisk "Pledge Initiation Instructions" It's about cult wich using chems. At the end it says: "Ordo Oblitus Ossa" Latin - means Ordor, Forgotten, Bones.
3) Not far away from this place we can find Wildwood cemetery (Hacking magazin under tree with holodisk for hacking). We can find an Altar made of bones and raider who's praying on it. Also near the altar box with chems. I bet he's from this cult.

So right now i guess it's a "raiders" cult. Anybody found anythin else about it?

Hmmmm, I recently stumbled onto this little mystery myself. Although i dont have any proof as of yet, I cant help but feel that this may be an elitest fraternity and therefore may have a link to the Boylston Club's activities. I dont want to post any spoilers but the actions inside the club seemed kinda cult-like in their dedication. The voice on the holodisk seems very pre-war as it refers to looking out for people out late in the park. (no one would be in the park with swan these days if thats the park they are referring to). Have you found any fraternities or Frat Houses in the Cambridge Campus area?

It's definitely pre-war. It could be a reference to The Order of Skull and Bones. It's an elite fraternity that the rich and political class join. I believe it originated in Yale, but I'm sure there are other chapters in New England. One of the things they do is meet in secrecy at night, robes and all. And drugs are known to be involved. FWI George W. was in it, and he was a coke fiend.

I'm not familiar enough with New England for any more details.
It's a park not far away from Malden Drainage. Somebody tryed to "sneaky-peaky" over there at night?

(Im aware this is a bit of a dead post) After a good bit of searching the cemetery and the surrounding area. The only things of note are.
1. A lit candle next to a grave with (for me at least) 1 Jet, and a vase of flowers.
2. the Magazine next to the tree
3. A strange skull and hand alter thing in one of the mossiliums.
Also with a bit of sneaking around at night, I ran into 1 raider. He only had a piece of leather armor, road leathers, and a switch blade.
So as far as I know there really isint anything to this sadly. Sorry to disappoint.

not all games are the Witcher 3 when it comes to continuity from a random interesting thing you find. if that makes sense. I do love me some fallout 4; but Yeah.

Could also be set ups for Fallout 5. In FO3 the Institute and Railroad seemed like "loose" end story lines, but they are prominent in FO4.

The more recent fallouts have always referenced Cults.
Go to your local library and read the book by HP Lovecraft: "The Dunwich Horror"

Theres a lot of references to cults coming from that book.
I think a lot of the story of F3's point lookout was very much based off Lovecraftian novels too.
