[SPOILER TALK] Not Joining the Institute + Getting Virgil's Serum

Is there any way possible to do this?

Call me goofy, but I don't like to have a "Failed" quest noted in my Questlog, so that is why I'm going to refuse joining the Institute in that quest we get there.

I've beaten the main quest once, but I wonder: Can we get to the FEV lab during the Institute Invasion?

In other words: I don't want to join only to later betrayal the Institute, I just want to refuse the invite and get the serum.

Yes you can while in the quest "The Nuclear Option". I had that in my first playthrough.
So yes you can refuse and still get the serum it's a long way around with a few deadly turrets but you can make it xD.

You can't "refuse for real" after accepting to take a look at the Institute, because it'll trigger the Institute questline.

I know where the FEV lab is, but the last quest kinda locks most of the doors and I don't know if the door to the FEV Lab will be avaliable.

Im finishing with the Minuteman. One more question: Can we get the hole Paladin Danse "betrayal" quest without being part of the BoS?

Nope you can't, doors are locked until father gives you the access.

Can you join the Insitute and be a spy ? like Spy for Minutemen/BoS/Railroad and when the time comes and you get some quests that give opinions to warn BoS/Railroad beforehand you can warn them.

Sort of, it has some of that, but poorly done.
