1) What was the Wasteland Explorer perk in previous versions?
2) I am sure Bethesda is simplifying the game to allow for your busy work schedule for the next update.....
~ to open console.
tmm 1
I sort of see the OP's point about it being ever so slightly useful now that there's no level cap, but the perk is still definitely not for me. I'd rather not have it than even receive it for free.
Weird, I would think from its name that's its an achievement/title reward you earn from exploring, not having something just handed to you if you chose a perk.
Glad they don't have it, part of the games appeal is exploring and finding new areas on the map.
You pop into the menu to look at the perk poster and now there's just a way to slide over to a secondary poster.
It might not be an easy thing for them to program if they didn't plan for it, but it's certainly an easy design concept to imagine.
They could easily have had more perks than what's on the current perk chart without having skills.
And OP, you can use "tmm 1,0,0" and take VANS while pretending to have taken Wasteland Explorer, VANS is the most useless perk in the game and will have no effect in your game, so you essentially paid a perk for the effect.
Also, the separation between "tmm 1" and "tmm 1,0,0" is important, "tmm 1" will allow fast travel to all locations(except those blocked by quests) right away, "tmm 1,0,0" will mark the silhouettes on the map, as if you were told about the location, and replicates the Wasteland Explorer perk flawlessly.
