It's possible to bag Magnolia? I was pretty reserved in my interactions with her--but that's because Piper was near with a modded shotgun.

To each their own, and musical tastes vary. Her music just really, really wasn't my cup of tea. To be totally honest, I felt that her singing as well as her songs as well as the lyrics were just really, really terrible. The music was somewhere in the fake-lounge-jazz department, but being a far stretch from coming close to even mediocre femal jazz vocalists. But then again, it's not a music contest here. And those cringeworthy suggestive lyrics... "manual labor" ho ho, ha ha, lord have mercy.

Don't get me wrong - Not trying to start a flame war or anything, It's just that I strongly disagree. I think it would have been a nice nod had they included ONE song of her on Diamond City Radio after the first visit to third rail. But five equally terrible songs that don't even sonically fit in with the stations other songs, because they were very clearly recently recorded and nobody even put the slightest bit of effort into making them sound old. I had been listening to Diamond City Radio before, all the time. But the Magnolia songs made me turn off the station whenever they started to play. Unfortunately, there's so many of them that soon I found myself leaving the radio turned off, completely for most of the time.

Her music wasn't really meant to be largely impressive in any way, it mostly relates to who she is, where she came from, and if you listen closely, she's the second synth in goodneighbour that the institute reports missing

Good Neighbor is an original song created for Fallout 4, performed by Lynda Carter, who voices the character Magnolia.[1] The song is played on Diamond City Radio.
LyricsEdit

Took a walk
Out in the fens
Had a talk with a man about some chems
He asked me what's your flavor
I said I need a favor
I'm a little short on caps but
I'm a good good neighbor

Took a dive
With the swans
Out in the commons with nothing on
The mutants stop to savor
All my bad behavior
It's all in a day's work
When you're a good good neighbor

We can shake it up a little
We can kick it up a notch
We can put it on the griddle
Better get it while it's hot
I'll meet you in the middle
You can show me what you got
If you're feeling lucky tonight

Diamond City it's my thing
I flash my style
I show my rings
I do the boys a favor
With all of my manual labor
It's good to be a good good neighbor

Mmm mmm mmmm

We can shake it up a little
We can kick it up a notch
We can put it on the griddle
Better get it while it's hot
I'll meet you in the middle
You can show me what you got
If you're feeling lucky tonight

Ohhh Diamond City, yeah, that's my thing
I flash my style
I show my rings
I do the boys a favor
With all of my manual labor
It's good to be a good good good good neighbor

Yeah
I do the boys a favor
With all of my manual labor
It's good to be a good good good

Wow... talk about reviving a very old thread from almost a year ago.

it's funny they use a white woman's picture when it's a black woman's voice. don't you think?

maybe white people all forgot how to sing when the slaves were freed and the jesuits gave them the apollo? that must be it.

maybe white people all forgot how to sing when the slaves were freed in preparation for their utilization as indiscriminate weapons of social chaos and the jesuits gave them the apollo theater as a little in-joke? that must be it.

i don't tolerate the psychological torture that the jesuits and you jesuit mindslaves try to inflict on me.

Lynda Carter isn't black.

Oh, and the 'fake lounge singing' is kind of funny given that she's toured as a 'one-woman cabaret show' (see wiki), i.e. she *is* a lounge singer.

After his posts after mine, it is apparent he wishes to wallow in his ignorance. He will not google her or check the wiki, It might show him worng and that is unthinkable
DOZAH Nov 28, 2016 @ 11:06am
i did google her. i gave you a response. that is not a white women, who lived her life among white people. that is a sub-human dog, and you recognize her and appreciate her as such, because so are you.
DOZAH Nov 28, 2016 @ 11:07am
music has intensity, passion. there's none of that in that music. she's like a whipped dog howling. you can enjoy it, if you can. I cannot.
