How to advance in the minutemen questline?

Just got out of the institute, and gave the data to struges. How do I advance the minutemen questline? I talked to gravy man (Preston Garvey) and he just game me the same dialogue he always does.

After the game is completed on a save file with an ending that isn't the minutemens ending, they will become obsolete. Because you can no longer beat the game, the game won't let you do the minutemen story missions (for obvious reasons.) They use the radiant quest system, so they will never stop giving you quests, but the story for them will never advance. There are also certain actions you can do in the game that can also end the game for the minutemen, such as getting too far into the BOS or Institute story.

I haven't beat the main quest... I know you can complete the game with the minutemen, but I'm not sure how to do that

Edit: How far do you have to get into the BoS and Railroad quest, I haven't done any quests for either since I first got into the Institute

At this point I've explored almost all the map and done most of the side quests, I want to advance the story missions, but I don't really want to get any farther in the railroad or BoS questlines.

Did you get into the institute using the minutemen quest or by the BoS?

In that case I'm not entirely sure. I would look it up somewhere else for answers, though. There are so many NPC glitches in this game, I'm sure someone else has gotten this before...

Personally you can go far enough on all factions until it tells you that doing "This" will make you an enemy of another faction. When you hit that point with all factions make a hard save. So you do not have to completely start over to experience every faction.

When you transport into the institute on the molecular level quest you have make sure you tell father to "stuff it". Then the rest of the minuteman quest will kick in. They will then attack....

Yep just looked it up, you have to be banished from the institute to do the minutemen questline, which is pretty stupid, but whatever I guess I'll just murder some people in the institute or something
