Will synths use everything I leave in Underground Undercover?

I want to leave weapons for the rebellion. A few questions:

1-Will they use any weapons I leave them, or just Institute pistols and rifles?
2-I need to leave some ammo, right?
3-Are grenades worth leaving?
4-Will they use any armor I leave them?
5-Is there a maximum number of rebels that will use the stuff I leave?

I started crafting mods for Institute guns and Synth Armor to leave there, but I am now thinking about leaving either some BoS Combat Armor, Miniguns & grenades, OR Three-Piece Suits, Fedoras and .45 Tommygun smgs.

Would they actually use any or all of that stuff? Seeing either BoS synths or Triggerman synths would be epic!

Damn, I really wanted to see the reaction of a bunch of mobsters shooting up the Institute. At least I can try for some gattling guns and other oddball weapons. :)
