Barney Rook Disappeared After Quest?

I completed the quest for Barney Rook and got reba II. After a while I came back and found that some of Barney's turrets were missing. I entered his house and he wasn't there, so I checked the basement, but he wasn't there either. I searched through the whole town for about an hour to make sure I didn't skip anything. I didn't find him. I heard this bug happening on PS4, but I use an Xbox One, so that's a new bug to add to the growing bugs and glitches list. Can someone help me? I don't use PC, I just have a Steam account for starting discussions on the forums, so can someone please help me with this bug? Thanks! I use Xbox One.

In my game when I entered the village Barney was dead. His corpse felt from the top of his house to a "platform" you can only get by jumping from the top so check if he's there.

Thus, I never got his quest, but Reba and Reba II were both there available for looting.

Now here's the thing, he's under siege by mirelurks who can't possibly get on his house roof. How on earth he got killed then? Don't tell me, he had s stroke... Right. :)

I guess the whole thing is actually bugged regardless of platform.

Barney Rook Disappear After Quest, yes. you can suppose he went out and got killed somewhere. what's the big deal ? you don't need him anymore , you got a basement house for free.

Indead if he's dead before the quest , yeah that's quite boring. guess they forgot to set him essential until the quest start and get completed.
