So I went to the Suffolk school recently in Fallout 4 (duh) and from what I gathered from the limited info (2 terminals and 3 holotapes) they force fed the kids pink slime to replace food. Now, based on that goo smeared everywhere, and the pink ghouls, this stuff was not safe to eat. However, I was curious what you all thought. What the h*ll went on here?!

Eat enough and you can't stop. Eat more of it and you become a pink Ghoul. Remember the school was over run by PINK Ghouls? The Principle said "You will get used to the taste."

Also their is a Food Renderer/Grinder that is obviously being used to grind up the Pink Ghouls and reprocess them. Once you're addicted you'll do anything to get more.

I was hoping the serum could be processed into the same life extension formula the Cabots used. Just waiting for the expansion that does that, nudge nudge wink wink. lol

Pink slime was approved by the FDA for limited human consumption. Pink slime had a large presence in the news in 2012. The Food Slime is a reference to the Pink Slime from the real world.

Food Paste does not use ghoul meat or human meat. Food Paste is likely just Pink Slime plus fillers. The ghouls in the school are pink because they ate a lot of Food Paste before the bombs dropped. When the bombs dropped the teachers and students were still at school, and those who became ghouls became pink ghouls because of all the Food Paste they ate while they were still human. The food renderer turns the bags of dried Food Paste into liquid paste.

In the real world and a normal game (like GTA) this would be true, but come on. This is Fallout we're talking about. That food paste was likely skin-coloring Psycho being fed to kids to pay for that principals retirment...with added fillers.

The area makes it very clear that Food Paste is Pink Slime related. Especially because the developers were influenced by the news of Pink Slime when they decided to make Food Slime in Fallout 4 as commentary on the social issues around Pink Slime.

So I like to believe it is a sophisticated form of criticizing capitalism and fast food. But maybe that's all in my head, you never know these days. Me neither.

Someone told me it's a teletubby refrence. i am not very familliar or have memories but it is just some kind of pink slime with possible chemicals or other..unhealthy addons.

I do not think it involves human meat/ghoul meat so i think it's experimental.

I would agree. It's probably Vault Tec bullcrap put in a machine to eat, not humans/ghouls ground up. Still as messed up as anything else...actually no it's more messed up. Cause they willingly did this to CHILDREN.
